The ABAP Data Dictionary includes all data definitions of metadata. It therefore enables a global, redundancy-free description of all necessary data structures. Newly entered or changed information in the data dictionary is automatically made available to all system components. This ensures data integrity, data consistency and data security. The objects of the ABAP Data Dictionary include standard and user-defined types for all ABAP variable types (data elements, structures, table types and references) recorded and made available to the system. The course describes how to create and manage the various data definitions. The various options for creating selection help (F4 help) are also explained. A look at the conversion routines for domains and search help exits concludes this course.
